Ms. Aikaterini Gounari is a Postgraduate Student specializing in Computational Chemistry and Molecular Modelling. She is studying and conducting her research at the Laboratory of Quantum and Computational Chemistry of the School of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Her research activities are focused on the application of global optimization methods for the study of structure of materials and their properties, with an emphasis on Genetic Algorithms and Particle Swarm Optimization.
